Islamabad , In order to finalize arrangement regarding public meeting of the Prime Minister to be held on May 18 in Islamabad, a high-level meeting of Pakistan Peoples Party Islamabad and Rawalpindi Division office-bearers was held here Wednesday at Peoples Secretariat.
President PPP Punjab, Imtiaz Safdar Warraich, Secretary finance Rukhsana Bangash, Federal Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Chairman Prime Minister task force Islamabad, Faisal Sakhi Butt and other office- bearers attended it, says a press release issued here.
Briefing the meeting, Chairman Prime Minister task force Islamabad, Faisal Sakhi Butt said that Prime Minister’ s upcoming public meeting in Islamabad would be a historic and biggest in the history of Islamabad. He said basic purpose of organizing this public meeting is to repose confidence in the leadership of the Prime Minister.
Giving details of the preparations for public meeting, he said party workers of all sectors and rural area are being activated, adding committees have been constituted, in this regard. He said the Prime Minister has followed the ideology of and philosophy of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto for the supremacy of constitution and law by taking all charges on his (PM) own. He assured complete cooperation of party workers to the Prime Minister.
Addressing the meeting, President Punjab People’s Party Imtiaz Safdar Warraich said entire nation stands by the Prime Minister. He said People’s Party was always a victim. He asked the party workers to shun their mutual differences and work for strengthen the party. Raja Pervez Ashraf, Haji Aziz-ur-Rehman Chan, Fouzia Habib, Khurram Latif Khosa, Amir Fida Piracha and others also spoke on the occasion.
