Islamabad:The Government is committed to bring rural areas of Islamabad at par with the municipal areas of the city and the Prime minister has directed for allocating special funds for the new development projects and the social uplift of the people of these areas.
These areas have been neglected during the previous governments for so many years. This was stated by the Chairman Prime Ministers Task Force on Islamabad, Faisal Sakhi Butt during his meetings with the notable of Tarnol, San gjani, Noon and others areas of Islamabad here Friday.
He said that the rural areas of Islamabad would be provided with the basic facilities like clean drinking water, electricity and gas at the earliest to bring them at par with the sectoral areas of the city to help improve the level of living. He said that to resolve these issues on priority, the task force would take up the matter with the concerned quarters including the ICT and other organizations for a prompt action. During the meeting the large numbers of notable from these areas were present.
Faisal Butt said that those elected from this constituency in the past have totally ignored the people after the election. He said that he would first solve problems of the people as the development of the area is his priority not the votes. He said that the concerned organizations must involve the locals of the areas for envisaging and executing the development projects and provision of facilities in these areas. He said that no lethargy on the part of the concerned organizations would be tolerated in this regard.
Chairman PM Task force said that affectees of Islamabad gave great scarifies in the making of federal capital as they gave their precious assets like land. Now it is the responsibility of government should solve their problems on priority and the task force stands with people of these areas for resolving their longstanding issues and ending their miseries at the earliest, he added.
