Lahore : Punjab Assembly Opposition MPAs belonging to PPP and PML-Q have rejected the Provincial Budget for next financial year 2012-13 presented in the Provincial Assembly on Saturday by Finance Minister Mian Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman and described it “a mere jugglery of statistics.”
Opposition Leader in Provincial Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmad said that PPP members had heard the budget speech patiently which was the opposite behaviour as shown by PML-N parliamentarians during the presentation of Federal Budget for next fiscal year in the National Assembly on June 1, 2012.
Raja Riaz termed the Punjab Budget as “window dressing of figures words and one-man show. No amount has been allocated for the future provinces of Multan and Bahawalpur.” Amar Sultan Cheema of PML-Q also rejected the budget saying it was “unbalanced.”
