FC officials stand alert at a road at Liyari area in Karachi on Tuesday, May 08, 2012. About one thousand personnel of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) were called in from rural Sindh to accompany law enforcers on Monday night for their deployment at 100 pickets to be set up at Nawa Lane, Cheel Chowk, Bakra Piri, Chakiwara, Kalakot, and other parts of Liyari. Additional IG, Karachi Akhtar Gorchani when approached confirmed the arrival of FC personnel and deployment of law enforcers into Liyari but he neither confirmed nor denied the news about a major operation in Liyari again.
